Born in Busan, South Korea, I am now based in Weybridge, Surrey, UK where I both practice and teach yoga.
I teach the classical HATHA yoga with VINYASA FLOW style.
I am a qualified yoga teacher, trained by SIMON LOW at YOGA ACADEMY. I am British Wheel of Yoga Diploma level accredited, Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK) and Yoga Alliance (US) registered. I am a Teens Yoga (adolescent) qualified teacher.
My yoga is for everyone - it includes many types of yoga asana postures, with variations and modifications, with balanced body alignment as required to suit each class, and the class students, in a safe way.
One of the greatest things about yoga is to learn to respect nature as a human being. Furthermore, the ancient wisdom tradition and science of yoga is that it helps individual’s personal destiny, it is a foundation for living, for healing, for peace, for strength, balance and flexibility. Yoga is a great opportunity to keep your Mind and body focused with breathing in your daily life. It is time to reconnect with your beautiful surroundings.

I love yoga with Su-Lyone, her class is one of the highlights of my week. Her classes are a great combination of energising practice, wonderful relaxation and much needed mindfulness. Her attitude is both positive and caring and she is always willing to share her enthusiasm for yoga. No two classes are the same and I feel much more confident in my practice than when I started. I can't recommend her classes enough for anyone who wants to explore the multitude of benefits that yoga offers.

I have been going to yoga classes with Sulyone for a few years. She is a truly lovely person and great yoga teacher. She is always welcoming, patient and caring. She explains and demonstrates things well and takes time to help each student. She caters to all levels within the same class, adjusting poses etc for all capabilities. She is especially considerate of the differences and potential physical constraints in each student. There is never any feeling of 'failure' if any pose is too tricky! She has an excellent understanding of the human body and how it and the mind can benefit from yoga.
In my experience students always finish the class in a positive, calm but energized mood.
I thoroughly recommend Sulyone as a yoga teacher.

Yoga with Sulyone is my 'pause' during the week. A time where I can empty my head and just 'be" for a little while, without having to think about everything else that's going on at work, at home and in life!
Sulyone is a kind and patient teacher. I am not the most flexible person, but I feel very comfortable in her class and know that I will be stretched, but not pushed. She always emphasises that we each need to listen to our own body and what it's telling us.

I have been practising yoga with SuLyone for nearly 3 years now and I wish that I had begun my journey years ago!! After many years of keeping fit by playing squash, tennis and running, I now understand the importance of stretching all parts of my body, and using the yoga poses to strengthen muscles I never knew I had - better late than never! SuLyone is gentle and encouraging, clearly describing the moves and checking that you are doing them right. She keeps the sessions fresh with new routines and poses to keep you engaged and together with the breathing and relaxation routines a session really does invigorate and set you up to cope with whatever is coming your way. I can't recommend SuLyone's yoga sessions highly enough!

SuLyone is a fantastic yoga teacher, and also a genuinely lovely person.
Her directions are clear and precise so you’re not looking up to check you’re doing the right thing, and she’s very observant, constantly checking you are in the correct position.
Each class has different focus, adding new techniques every week and building on your experience and understanding.
Although the classes are a work-out you somehow come out relaxed and feeling rejuvenated.

I have been attending yoga classes taught by SuLyone for about 2 years and really enjoy them. SuLyone is patient, knowledgeable and an extremely attentive teacher. The small classes enable SuLyone to guide and correct postures which improves individuals technique. At the end of her classes I always feel energised and content.

I highly recommend SuLyone's classes. I have been going to her classes since she started teaching and have always enjoyed them. She has a wonderful approach to teaching and a very calm manner, creating a great atmosphere for the class. She really gets to know her students and what they are capable of - gently encouraging more from experienced students and assisting beginners. Her classes are small which ensures that everyone is given personal attention and that their technique and posture are corrected. No one class is exactly the same and the 'challenge' poses she introduces certainly keep us on our toes!

SuLyone is fantastic at running a class with all levels of ability, giving harder options for those with more experience. The classes are designed to challenge but SuLyone is very conscious of her students abilities and conditions which means you are in safe hands.
SuLyone has a very calming and kind presence and you leave her classes feeling relaxed but having had a really good workout of the body. I would thoroughly recommend her classes to all levels of yogi!

Ø SMILE : Sign up to a class or program of classes – if you are an experienced student I will offer variations individually to ensure you have a better challenge. If you don’t have any yoga experience don’t worry, as I will offer less intense modifications with greater attention from me.
Ø INJURIES : Inform me if you have any medical issues or conditions that I need to be aware of for safe practice. You will need to complete the registration form that I will give you at your first class.
Ø MAT: Bring your own yoga mat if you have one, otherwise I can provide a spare for you.
Ø BLANKETS : Bring your own blankets if you like to have extra support for your comfort or to keep you warm during the relaxation.
Ø EMPTY STOMACH : Try not to eat a big meal before coming to class.
Ø READY : Arrive early to get ready and relax for the start as yoga should not be rushed.
Ø DRESS : Dress comfortably.
